Community Outreach Health & Support Services
Community outreach at Serenity Nonprofit is a group of services and support designed to connect people experiencing homelessness or housing instability in Southern Nevada with the health, mental health, and recovery resources they need. We go beyond office walls to engage the community directly, offering help, compassion, and practical connections so no one feels alone in seeking care. Our outreach aligns with local efforts like the Courtyard Homeless Resource Center, a 24/7 resource hub providing medical, housing, employment, and basic needs support to thousands of people every year.
Serving Individuals Experiencing Homelessness and Housing Instability
This support is available to adults, families, and individuals living on the streets, in encampments, or without stable housing. We help people who are ready to address mental health needs, substance use concerns, medical care, or basic barriers like lack of access to food, showers, shelter options, or crisis support.
Coordinated Outreach for Mental Health, Medical, and Recovery Services
Our community outreach team builds bridges between people and services. We connect individuals to:
• Mental health counseling and therapy including individual and group support
• Substance use counseling for alcohol and drug recovery
• Ambulatory withdrawal management for safe medically supervised care
• Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to reduce cravings and stabilize recovery
• Neurofeedback/Biofeedback to support emotional regulation
• Medication management and primary care services
• Telehealth services for remote access
• Crisis intervention and 24/7 support access
• Referrals to housing support services, employment assistance, and community resources
These services can be accessed through scheduled appointments, walk-ins when available, or by guided referrals from our outreach team working in partnership with local community organizations and city programs. We meet people where they are and help them find the right combination of care.
Reducing Barriers to Mental Health and Medical Care
Homelessness and unstable housing often make it harder to get consistent care. Community outreach fills gaps by reaching people who may not otherwise walk into a clinic. Connecting someone to mental health support, medical care, addiction recovery, or a safe place to rest can be the first step toward stability, safety, and long term wellness. Collaborations like mobile intervention teams and local service networks help reduce barriers and bring holistic support directly to the community.
